Common Questions

Does this require connecting to equipment directly?
Not to start. Most early builds run on data already landing in ERP, MES, quality, and historian systems. Direct equipment integration is possible later where a use case genuinely needs it, but it is rarely the constraint at the beginning.
Our floor staff will not use a chat interface.
Then we would not build one. Delivery matters as much as capability, and it gets designed for the working conditions on the floor: inside the tool they already use, on the terminal that is already there, or as a briefing that arrives without being asked for.
How do you handle a regulated or validated manufacturing environment?
The same way you handle any change in that environment: through your validation process. The lab is built with the documentation, traceability, and change control your quality system requires, and use case selection accounts for validation effort as part of feasibility.
Can this work across multiple plants that run different systems?
Yes, and that mix of systems is a common reason organizations stand up a lab in the first place. Build once against a common layer, then deploy to each site with the connectors that site requires.
